Tracy worked in Aged Care prior to joining ARV 9 years ago, starting as a carer and then moving into administration roles.
“I love working with the elderly, listening to their life stories and being able to put a smile on their faces,” said Tracy. “The teamwork at ARV is exceptional and enables us to provide excellent care.”
After gaining knowledge and administration experience, Tracy was offered the position of manager of Jobmatch, a new business within ARV. With ARV’s support, she is also studying towards a business management certificate which is very helpful in her work.
“Jobmatch is a casual pool specifically for ARV in the Hills District. Over the last four years I have built up a successful business, with a pool of 130 casual staff working across seven villages,” Tracy said.
“We provide well-trained staff to care for our residents and we also offer the chance for ARV employees to supplement their income with additional shifts. This is all part of the commitment to provide the best for our residents and staff.”
Like Tracy, Elsie worked in aged care prior to joining ARV 13 years ago. Since then Elsie has worked as a carer, physio aid, receptionist and now assists Tracy as a Jobmatch co-ordinator.
Elsie’s role is to supply staff for specific needs and to support them in their work. She said, “The most enjoyable part of being at ARV is the great team work. People are very friendly, compassionate and willing to help one another.”
“I would encourage anyone to work at ARV because it’s a Christian organisation and residents live in a home-like environment.”
