Goodhew Gardens

Goodhew Gardens offers low care assisted living options, as well as dementia-specific care and ageing in place within the lovely confines of ARV’s Woolooware Shores, overlooking beautiful Woolooware Bay in the Sutherland Shire.

We’re committed to providing our residents with continuing care, often on the same site as our independent living accommodation, and that’s the case here at Goodhew Gardens.

Residents enjoy a range of services provided in spacious single rooms with private en suites. Assistance is available for showering, dressing, medication supervision, nursing care and personal care needs, indeed staff are there 24 hours a day. All laundry services and meals, including specific dietary requirements are taken care of and emergency call buttons are provided in every room and bathroom.

At Goodhew Gardens, we provide care for those with low levels of dementia-like behaviours, and those with more advanced dementias are catered for with our secure dementia-specific facilities in a supportive and caring environment.

Residents can enjoy a wide range of activities at Goodhew Gardens. There’s a dedicated diversional therapist who organises much of the fun, with lots of things to do including exercise classes, fellowship groups, art and craft sessions and much more. There are regular Church services at Goodhew Gardens as well as a hairdresser and cafe. The spectacular location provides a delightful setting for a family visit, a barbecue or a walk in the landscaped gardens.

To be eligible for accommodation, all potential residents must be assessed by the Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT) and be deemed to be in need of assisted living care.
