Meal-time Masters

Utilising the latest in Cook-Chill technology with the Capkold's Kettle and Cooktank systems, ARV Food Services provides a wide range of frozen meals to ARV Village kiosks and cafes for purchase by Independent Living residents. In providing this service we are assisting our residents in maintaining well-being and independence.

We create innovative recipes, enjoyable meals and varied menus. In addition to our cooked meals we can provide all your food requirements. Through consultation we are able to meet specific food service needs. We offer recommendations on improving food quality and presentation, financial control, staffing levels, hygiene and safety.

Management resources are available to assist with establishing village food services, servery supervision and quality assurance. ARV Food Services offers comprehensive training programs to skill staff for success. Our function menus can provide creative flair for special occasions.


Versatility

ARV Food Services provides a total food service to our customers. We have significant expertise supplying quality meals to aged care organisations. Our foods services are appropriate to all health care and educational providers, particularly private and public hospitals, community services (including meals on wheels), and boarding schools and colleges.

Quality

With our chefs, menu planners, and nutritional experts keeping abreast of the latest attitudes and tastes, the meals we deliver are delicious and exciting as well as nutritionally balanced. In our Research & Development Kitchen, we are constantly testing new recipes prior to inclusion on our menu. As part of the evaluation process, these dishes are trialed with customer focus groups. A Dietician and Food Technologist play important roles in developing recipes and procedures. Our chefs add their skills and unique flair to create recipes that meet the preferences of our customers.

Experience

ARV has been providing an extensive range of Cook-Chill services for nearly twenty years. Over this time we have developed the art and science of Cook-Chill which has become accepted as the preferred method of food preparation for many organisations. This experience includes the provision of food to large numbers of people for all meals every day. Our clients benefit from the security of dealing with a reliable, long established team.

Technology

ARV's food production facility at Norwest Estate in Baulkham Hills is at the leading edge in technology, with equipment and design features from around the world. This $10 million facility with a capacity for 20,000 or more meals is without peer in Australia. Incorporated into this facility is the latest in Cook-Chill technology with the Capkold's Kettle and Cooktank systems which has allowed ARV to perfect extended shelf-life for soups, sauces, casseroles and roasts.

HACCP (Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points)

ARV Food Services is HACCP accredited. This assures our customers of our commitment to providing a safe and quality food service. Comments from the Audit report of 23rd October 1998 were as follows:

"ARV Food Services is an exceptional facility for the production of Cook Chill products. HACCP documentation complements the effective controls in place. The production team appear to be fully aware of the HACCP program requirements and good manufacturing practices are of an extremely high standard."
