What age do I need to be to apply for entry into Anglican Retirement Villages (ARV)?

Minimum age for entry is 60 years.

Where are ARV villages located?

Our Villages are located across the greater Sydney region at Castle Hill, Dapto, Forestville, Glebe, Gordon,Hurstville, Kirrawee, Penrith, Rushcutters Bay, Turramurra, Winston Hills, Woollahra and Woolooware Bay. New village loations include Glenhaven and Warriewood.

When I enter into an Independent Living Unit, do I own the unit?

Residents in our Villages enter into a “Loan/Licence” Agreement which means they do not own the residence, but have a licence to occupy the premises.

Can I have visitors stay in my unit?  

Yes, visitors or short-stay guests are welcome any time. However, due to security and fire regulations, you need to advise the Village Manager.

Do I have to be Anglican to live in an Anglican Retirement Village?   

Our villages are open to everyone, regardless of their religion. Our Mission is to assist older people to enrich their lives by providing quality Christian care and services.All residents have access to Chaplaincy services.

Can I bring a pet?

For the safety of all residents, animals are not allowed to be kept in our Villages.

What will it cost me for entry into Independent Living accommodation?

Residents pay an Ingoing Contribution for accommodation in our villages. A fortnightly recurrent charge is also payable. These charges vary based on the accommodation type and village location.

Are there extra support services available to me as an Independent Living resident?

Yes, ARV Home Support Services provides personal care services such as respite care, housekeeping, meal preparation and transport. Contact ARV Home Support Services for applicable rates.

What happens if I can no longer live independently in my Independent Living accommodation?

Anglican Retirement Villages offer a range of Residential Aged Care facilities across Sydney. Entry to any of our Assisted Living and Nursing Home facilities is based on resident needs and the ability of the facility to provide for these needs.
To qualify for entry you must first have an assessment by an Aged Care Assessment Team.

Where does the Village fit in as part of the wider community?

Anglican Retirement Villages are very much a part of the wider Community.  Your family and friends are welcome to visit you and join you in the variety of village community events and celebrations that occur during the year.

I am thinking about moving in the future, what should I do now?

Register on our Waiting List. As a member of our Waiting List you will be given priority to purchase accommodation across all ARV villages in order of your date of registration. Members also receive:
  • Updates on accommodation currently available
  • New development updates
  • Opportunity to reserve off the plan for new developments, prior to release to the general public
  • Invitations to open days and information seminars.
Simply download and complete a registration form, then return it to Anglican Retirement Villages (ARV) with your $100 registration fee (fully refundable on request).
