ARV has a thorough process for our recruitment, over the years this has benefited both candidates and ARV. It is important for you that the position you have is more than a job. Rather a position that you can do and matches with what want to do. When this occurs you will enjoy your work, which is vital for you.
This is also vital for ARV, for we need people who are able to do the job, through skill, physical ability and attitude and who want to be doing what the job requires. ARV’s recruitment process is designed to benefit both you and ARV. Below is a list of some of the process you can expect:
- Interview (most times more than one)
- Reference checks
- Skills and ability tests
- National Criminal History Record Check (NCHRC)
- Medical
- Other
A Note on National Criminal History Record Checks (NCHRC).
It is a requirement of Federal Legislation that people in direct care roles and people who are likely to come into contact with residents/clients in aged care pass a NCHRC. Anyone with a conviction for Assault, Sexual Assault or Murder under the legislation can’t be employed in these positions.
