Residential Care

For those who require extra care

Sometimes referred to as Hostels or Low Care Residential Aged Care Facilities, Assisted Living villages provide support services to meet residents' social, emotional, spiritual and physical needs.

We provide varying levels of assistance to residents dependent on their needs and wishes. Assistance with daily activities such as showering and dressing, personal care, medication management and mobility is available. All meals and laundry services are provided and staff are available 24 hours a day.

It is important to know that our Assisted Living villages can provide care to people with low levels of dementia-like behaviours. However, we also have specialised Dementia Specific Units within several of our villages, where residents with various types of more advanced dementias can be safely cared for.

Quality of Life

Our research shows that quality of life is not only about receiving the right kind of care but is also about involvement and autonomy. Our person-centred approach is to provide assistance that promotes and supports independence.

Each village offers a range of social and recreational activities including bus outings, concerts, craft groups and exercise sessions.

Facilities in the villages include dining rooms, lounges, libraries, hairdressers, chapels, kiosks, and recreational rooms.

Eligibility

You must be assessed by the Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT) and be deemed to require this level of care in order to be eligible for accommodation.
