Social

ARV is a rich community that enjoys coming together for a wide variety of events. These range from those that are simply social and fun, to those with a focus on wellbeing and good health. ARV is also keen to look for the special interests of residents and clients, and offer a wide range of activities that suit just a few, or perhaps many.

Most of our villages have active Computer Clubs, opportunities to engage in University of the Third Age and Men’s Workshops. Men’s Cooking Classes, Book Clubs, Arts and Crafts plus much much more.

Large scale events include a Talent Show, Art Show and Christmas Spectacular. An annual highlight is the Village ANZAC Parade, where hundreds of local school children attend the site to cheer the parade of residents, led by the Royal Australian Navy Band and Hawkesbury Lighthorse. These are open to all. ARV recognises that no matter how old you are, and no matter what sort of wheels get you to where you are going, life is there to be lived, enjoyed and enhanced.

There are bus trips, concerts, friendship groups, and so the list goes on. The Snapshot Project captures the many stories residents have to share, whilst Resiaction embraces a life of resident activity, choice and spirit.

Being connected and feeling a part of something is one of the most wonderful aspects of life. It’s also the foundation of a community. ARV embraces culture and diversity, supports health and wellbeing and understands the importance of the spiritual side of life. With something for everyone, in ways large and small, we welcome you to our community.
